About

Aaron Craig is a New York City based produced, director, and cinematographer.

His passion for filmmaking began early, shooting films with his brother on the railroad tracks behind their childhood home. That curiosity turned into a lifelong pursuit, shaping a hands-on, story-first approach that continues to define his work.

After moving to New York City in 2006, Aaron interned at Saturday Night Live, then went on to direct music videos for artists including Sufjan Stevens, Cold War Kids, Son Lux, The Welcome Wagon, and Andy Mineo. His commercial work includes campaigns for brands such as Microsoft, Nicorette, Squarespace, and Red Bull.

Aaron’s narrative and documentary projects have premiered internationally at festivals including Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and Miami International Film Festival. Most recently, he served as a Production Consultant on Ferrari, working closely with Adam Driver, along with the costume and VFX hair and makeup teams. He was also a co-producer on Peter Hujar’s Day, directed by Ira Sachs, which premiered at Sundance and Berlin and received five Independent Spirit Award nominations.

In addition to his film work, Aaron is a co-founder of We Are Films, a production company established in 2011 that produces commercial and narrative work for clients and collaborators around the world.
